How to Play

Finish ahead of five rivals. Races and tournaments pay prize money: spend it in the shop and the workshop on parts, tyres and setup. Broken parts slow you down until you repair them. W / ↑ — throttle S / ↓ — brake and reverse A / D or ← / → — steering. By default it works like a real transmitter: when the car drives toward you, left and right are reversed. Switch to Simple in Settings if you prefer. Esc — pause and back, Enter — main action, R — restart F — full screen, M — sound, mouse wheel — camera zoom Gamepads and USB RC transmitters are supported (set up in Settings).

Tips

  • Spend prize money on repairs first, because broken parts slow your car until they are fixed.
  • Remember that steering is reversed when the car drives toward you, or switch to Simple steering in Settings.
  • Fit mud tyres on wet days and adjust your setup for each track.
  • Use time trial against ghosts to learn a track before a tournament.
  • Plan refuelling and pit stops in long finals so you do not run dry.

About RC Racing

RC Racing is an RC car racing game that puts you in the drivers' tower of a real RC track. You drive 1:8 nitro buggies and aim to finish ahead of five rivals who were trained with reinforcement learning. Races and tournaments pay prize money, and you spend it on parts, tyres and setup. What sets it apart from other rc car games is the detail. The physics cover suspension, wing, tyres and a nitro engine with needles, head temperature and glow plug. Between races you visit the workshop to strip and rebuild your car screw by screw, repair broken parts, and fit new engines, pipes, tyres and liveries. Broken parts slow you down until they are fixed. The career runs from the local club to the World championship, with qualifying, tournaments and long finals that include refuelling and pit stops. Five tracks, Club Dirt, Clay Stadium, Oval, Sand Quarry and Winter Park, come in dry weather, rain and changing conditions. You can also try quick race, time trial against ghosts, and elimination. Use W or Up to accelerate, S or Down to brake and reverse, and A/D or the arrow keys to steer. Steering works like a real transmitter, so left and right reverse when the car drives toward you. Switch to Simple in Settings if you prefer. Gamepads and USB RC transmitters work too, and your progress is saved.
